Dear Sissy,

I wasn't sure if God was going to give me a girl.  I just knew that dude was a girl and you were another boy.  I'm so glad I was wrong:)  You are the most perfect addition to our family.  I know I've said that before, but it is so true!  We all adore you.  You are the only girl of the family on both sides and you own it.  You light up our lives in a way that's hard to explain.

Here are a few things about you as a two year old.  You are a momma's girl and I LOVE IT.  It really couldn't come at a better time, because brother is all about daddy.  Grammy tells me that I am raising my best friend and she is right.  We are thick as thieves and I pray that it stays that way. You love "na na" (aka frozen) and "fia first" (sofia the first).  You love to be around people at all times and never meet a stranger.  You love lipstick, shoes, and being the center of attention.  That combination may get you in trouble one day!  You may pitch a fit, but you always say "sorry momma."  You are a great eater!  You have such a cool little personality and are always smiling.  You love your bubba, but you also like your alone time without him.  When you make your pout face, I could literally suck your pouty lips right off your face.  Baby got back, love your baby booty!!!  You are just simply perfect.

One day you will grow up, heavy sigh.  You will meet a boy.  You will have your heart broken.  Your daddy and I will stalk you the entire time you are a teenager.  You will make bad decisions and we will be there to ground you, but also show you grace.  You will make good decisions and make us so very proud.  You will become a mother.  You will most definitely read this blog and probably compare your children to yourself as a baby:)  You will realize the sacrifice and reward of motherhood.  You will have to put your family above yourself.   You will do a lot of things that you just don't want to do, but you will do it.  You will be amazing.

My hope for you is that you know Jesus Christ as your Lord & Savior.  That you put him above anything else in your life and realize that he can give you what no one else can.  I hope you find a great husband and that you honor and respect him.  I hope that you don't conform to society's definition of marriage, but the Bible's description of marriage.  I hope that you get to spend time with your children and that motherhood is something you enjoy.  I hope that you follow your dreams, while staying true to who you are.
There is a beauty deep inside of you that is special.  I want you to always know who you are and what you are worth. This scripture is written on the wall in your room-  " Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes.  Rather, it should that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight."  1 Peter 3:3-4   You are of great worth my Annie June.

Happy second birthday my sweet girl!  I hope you have many, many more.
