DISNEY DAY 2- HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS

Our second day at Disney was spent at Hollywood Studios.

Sarah and I were the brave ones and rode Tower of Terror first thing!  We had FP, but didn't even have to use them because there was no line.  In the holding room, Sarah and I were the last ones in and the tour guide (who we did not know was behind us) whispered in our ears and we both screamed out loud.  The ride hadn't even started yet and we were already screaming!  Needless to say it gave us and everyone else a good laugh!  Tower of Terror was really fun.  I look like I'm going to the club with my one arm up in this pic.  The poor lady in front of us was crying her eyes out, bless.
The boys tried to ride Toy Story, but the line was 30 minutes long by the time they got there.  That ride is very popular and FP are definitely needed.  We met up with them after the Tower of Terror & they went to ride Star Tours, while we visited Jake & almost scared the kids to death on the Great Movie Ride.

How cute are the boys in their matching shirts Aunt Sarah got them?!  We had reservations at Hollywood & Vine to see Disney Junior characters, but the line to see Jake was short, so we decided to see him!  After Jake, we took the boys on The Great Movie Ride, which was a mistake.  This ride should have a warning!!!  There was loud gun fight in the middle and poor dude was about to lose it.  The boys never cried, but they were both on the brink of tears.

It was time to ride Toy Story with our much needed FP.  All the boys loved it, even the big ones:)  Jay and Buddy were the winners in our group!

Sweet little dude pondering life on daddy's shoulders.  Love his sweet face.
After Toy Story, we headed to our 11:20 lunch reservations at Hollywood & Vine.  It's a buffet with Disney Junior characters.  I'm not gonna lie, it was kind of a whirl-wind.  Characters constantly come to your table while you're trying to eat & then dance parties happen every 10 minutes.  It was hectic, but the boys loved it.  Poor dude had no clue who half the characters were, but he enjoyed it anyway.  I was constantly asking Sarah & Buddy who was who, haha!  It was fun and the food was good, but don't do it if you want a nice, quiet quick-service lunch.  It is far from it!

We definitely know who Jake is though!  YO HO!

We headed back to the hotel for arcade & playground fun, followed by naps.

While the boys napped, I enjoyed a Mickey ice cream bar all by myself in the cafeteria.  It was glorious and worth every single calorie.
We left the hotel around 3:00 to go back to Hollywood Studios, but  Rudy stayed behind to watch the Packers play-off game!  He needed a little Disney break:)  We had a little time to spare before our FP for Disney Junior Live on Stage, so we stumbled upon a few characters, but all the lines were long so we just walked around.  Out of nowhere this random guy comes up and tells me that Minnie is in a secret room & shows us where to go.  We thought he was a creeper, but turns out he was just spreading the good news.  It was a private setting in "Minnie's dressing room" and was so cute!

Minnie was a little bashful when the boys kissed her on the cheek:)
We had FP for Disney Junior, so we only had to wait 5 minutes before we could go inside.  Other people probably waited around 20-30 minutes, so I think the FP were worth it!  Here's Sarah entertaining the boys once again with her fun games!
Disney Junior Live on Stage is a puppet show that includes skits of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Jake & the Neverland Pirates, Doc McStuffins, and Sofia the First.  If your child watches any of these shows, it is a MUST see! It is way cute and the boys really enjoyed it!!!

Next, we headed over to Pizza Planet and was surprised at how good the pizza was!  We had heard that the food at Disney was terrible, but we were pleasantly surprised so far.  I mean, you don't go to Disney for the food, but we really liked everything we ate!
We were so excited that the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights were still up!  It was incredible and a sight to see for sure.
This picture does not do it justice.  I could have stared at it for hours.  I love everything Christmas!  However, it was time to head to Fantasmic.  Let me just say that Fantasmic is FANTASTIC!!!  However, I could see where it could scare small children (the villains take over Mickey's dreams).  It would have scared me as a kid, but that's not saying much.  I watched E.T. at 3 and it scared me so bad I slept with my parents until I was 10.  True Story.  Anyway, back to Fantasmic- it was insanely cool, if you ever go to Disney do not miss it!  I suggest getting there 45 minutes before the show starts to make sure you have a seat!
I took selfies of dude while we waited.
And dude bugged this poor guy to death.  However, we quickly found out that there is no bugging people at Disney.  Almost everyone is SO nice & friendly and don't mind preschoolers telling them they saw a dinosaur 95 times.  Seriously, everyone is so happy. We were discussing how nice everyone was at Disney and a lady leaned over and said, "I think they must put Prozac in the water here."  I think she might be on to something.

We headed back to the hotel after the show & rested up for DAY THREE!  Magic Kingdom here we come!!!

FYI: Touring Plans predicted the overall crowd levels to be 7 out of 10 on this day.  Our FP on this day were for Tower of Terror 9:00-10:00 AM (should have gotten them for Fantasmic instead), Toy Story Midway Mania 10:10-11:10 AM, lunch reservations at Hollywood & Vine 11:20 AM, and Disney Junior Live on Stage at 4:50-4:55 PM.
