Saturday, we went to Ash & Linda's fabulous Easter Party! We enjoyed great food, baby chicks, live rabbits, the Easter bunny, egg hunting, and fellowship with family who we don't get to see as often as we like.
There were baby chicks there and dude loved them. All the other small kids were a little timid around them, but not dude. He hopped those hay bells and picked one right up. That kid has no fear. He said "wake up chickens" haha:) Then when we told him to put the chicks down because we were afraid he might cause internal damage with his tight grip he asked if he could "step on it". No, dude you may not step on the chickens. I am happy to report that all 4 chicks made it out alive, hopefully without internal bleeding and are now at peace in a chicken coop.
Needless to say, the chickens were a big hit. Here's cousin taking a dive, legs spread eagle trying to get to them..
The real bunnies were a big hit too!
However, I'm pretty sure dude was the only one who liked the fake scary Easter bunny. I don't blame any child for being scared of a big ole creepy rabbit, but dude wasn't at all!
See, here he is saying "easter bunny hooolllddd yooouuu"
We had to make him get off the bunny. Buddy wasn't a fan, so Jay sat in his lap!
My noon was being passed around like a sack of potatoes, loving every minute of it!!!
Buddy & Dude had the time of their life!
The egg hunt was fabulous. Every egg had something special in it! Linda is a stickler for details like that, she amazes me.
The food was even more fabulous than the egg hunt, just ask cousin!
But perhaps my favorite part was spending quality time with family.
