Finding Peace

As I pulled out of the driveway, I noticed my lovies were drifting off.  I didn't want to disrupt their sleep, so we took a little drive.  Little did I know, it was I who needed the drive the most.
I decided to go see our land and thought about yesterday's horrific events the entire way.  A 20-year old broke into an elementary school in Connecticut and shot 20 innocent children and 6 adults.  I have shed many tears and questioned why it happened in the first place.  I mean, I know there is evil in the world and bad things happen, but come on someone massacring first-graders?  Its unimaginable.
However, I was reminded as I drove through beautiful fields of green grass, that we serve a Good God.  He wants to help us, not harm us.  His plans are for us to prosper and to give us a future.  It just so happens that the future for those precious babies and teachers will be rejoicing in Heaven with Him this Christmas.
It wasn't until I got home and looked back at a picture I snapped, that I noticed the pink cross on the pavement.

A sweet reminder that God is good, it's people that are bad.
Pray for everyone affected by this tragedy, may they find a peace that surpasses understanding.

God is so good. I love the way he chooses to remind us of his existence. This is proof in a picture.

I love you.
