Pure Bliss

Bliss: perfect happiness; great joy

That is exactly how I feel at this very moment.
Pure bliss.

I'm on the "hospital high." I'm sure all you moms out there know exactly what I'm referring to.  The joy of being through with labor, the pride of your newborn, nursing, sweet visitors, and a sleepy, sweet smelling newborn, are just a few things that contribute to that "high."  Not to mention the Naproxen and Oxytocin:)

I'm going to address some main questions that I've gotten & the ones that I always ask new moms!  Just in case y'all wanted to know:)

How are y'all?  We are great!  We slept decent last night & took about an hour nap today.  Annie is a great nurser so far.  (I really hope I don't jinx us)  My milk is already in, hallelujah!  We've had 3 wet diapers & 2 dirty so far.  Rudy is super dad and is so attentive to my needs.  He is totally obsessed with Annie.  He calls us "his girls" and it just melts me every time I hear it.  We are both very proud!  We also have some very proud grandparents, aunts, uncles, family, and friends.  We love each and every one of you & cherish every prayer, comment, call, text, and visit!

How is dude handling everything? Wonderfully.  The first time he saw her, he wasn't sure what to think.  Today, he came in two different times and went running to her saying "baby" and  "annie noon".  He likes to point out her body parts. He'll say "ears", "nose", "feet", etc.  It is so sweet!  When he left he said, "bye bye annie noon".  God love him.  He seems so big now.  He came in talking and pointing to things & could quite possibly win an award for having the busiest little hands:)  I couldn't be any prouder of him so far!

How was labor?  Absolutely amazing!  I labored for 5 hours, pushed two good times, and she was out!  It is so crazy how easier and less stressful things are the second time around.  The IV was the worst part, yet again.  Don't y'all worry, I have a birth story post coming up soon:)

Do you need anything?  Rudy always says food, haha!  Every outreach in any way is greatly appreciated and feel free to stop by the house anytime, just give a little heads up first please:)  We should be headed home tomorrow if all goes as planned!

Here are a few pictures!
Headed to the hospital.

Seeing Annie June for the first time!
Sister's gift to dude was a big hit!
A little cold doesn't keep Con away!
He's pointing out her body parts:)

 Sweetest smile ever!

I have said it before and I'll say it again-  I don't know what I did to deserve these blessings from God, but I am forever grateful.  His blessings are anew each day.
