Dude is 20 Months!!!

Dearest Dude,
You are undoubtedly the coolest 20 month old ever.  Though I'm not biased at all:)
Here's what you're up to:
  • You keep us laughing. You understand our humor and will deliberately do stuff to make us laugh.
  • You talk all the time, but when we're around other people you hardly talk at all.
  • You ask for your grandparents daily.  Seriously, there is not a day that goes by where you don't ask where they are.  This makes me happy that they are such a big part in your life, that you miss them when they're not around.
  • When we left Grammy's this morning you said, "bye bye dog.":)
  • Swimming lessons are going great & you love the water.
  • The other night you wanted rocked to sleep.  So I kindly obliged and the whole time you were laying on me, sister was kicking you.
  • Summertime means fun times with cousins!
  • You get along with big kids much better than kids your own age.   This is the norm for your age group.
  • You're still a picky eater, but you'll surprise us sometimes.  For instance, the other night you ate broiled tilapia, corn, fried bologna, and mandarin slices for supper!  Talk about one happy momma.
  • You can make so many animal noises now.  Here are the ones I can think of: cow, rooster, cat "titty titty", dog, frog, crow, owl, horse, bee, & sheep.
  • I can't keep you off Grammy's fireplace.  Dude, please stop climbing it. I'm getting tired of having to yell and spank.
  • You are back to giving kisses all the time, which makes it really hard to discipline!
  • Here we all are on Memorial Day.
  • I brush your teeth twice a day and twice a day you fight me with all your might.
  • Every morning when you wake up, you say "MOMMA" like you're happy to see me:)
  • When we facetime daddy, you see yourself in the corner & make faces the whole time. It's always a good laugh.
  • We have tried everything to get you to pee pee in the toilet.  Nope.  You will pee outside, on the floor, in the bathtub, but not anywhere near the toilet.  We are not pushing potty training on you at all, but you walk up to the toilet and say "pee pee", so we thought we'd give it a try!  Maybe you'll catch on here in the next few months:)
  • Sometimes, when I pull your shirt over your head you smile and say "boo."
  • You're still in the hitting stage.  Dude, like I said, don't make me be a mean momma!!!
  • We bought you a vintage tricycle at a garage sale for 75 cents.
  • Grammy found peppa pig on youtube and you LOVE it.  You will watch it longer than anything else..
  • You share all your food with your begging brother.
  • You are my buttercup. I want to eat you up.
