December 2010

The month of December was crazy busy, but oh so much fun!! (Warning this is a long post with a lot of pictures)
First, we had the Allen Christmas Party/Game Night. All of our friends are so dear to our hearts & just precious! We love you.. p.s. How cute is Sarah 5 months pregnant with baby Jacob??
Hagan loves his "aunts"The Monday after we had the party we left for Tennessee!! We weren't sure how Hagan would handle the 8 hour drive, but to our suprise he did "remarkable".. We watched dvds on the way, Eclipse is his favorite! The first night we stayed here, isn't she pretty!
The next day we browsed the streets of Gatlinburg & got settled in our cabin! Isn't Rudy so cute pushing the little nugget! There is something magical about the Smokey Mountains!! The next day Rudy and I got a long overdue couple's massage! My arms get sore toting chunky monkey around all day! But just look how cute my little santa clause is, I could just eat him for breakfast!!!
The next night my parents drove down & we cooked and stayed warm via jacuzzi! But the next night we were out and about again to the Dixie Stampede! Now I love Dolly, but I wasn't all that impressed with the show... But Hagan Jude loved it! He was mesmerized by all the lights.
The trip wouldn't be complete without breakfast from our fav, Mel's Diner.
But my all time favorite thing to do in Tennessee is Dollywood!! Love It! The lights are truly spectacular at Christmas time. I was so excited for Hagan to see all the pretty bright lights, but dangit if the little booger didn't sleep the entire time!

The next day we celebrated Christmas with relatives, Hagan loved Granny's house! It was so good to spend time with all our tenn family! By this point Rudy started to get tired of pictures! The last night ,I contracted some EVIL stomach virus. I literally threw up 20 times in 7 hours, I counted... It took me four days to gain my strength back, I couldn't even pick up Hagan. I mean it was awful, not a fun way to loose baby weight! I will never take my health for granted again..
On Christmas Eve, my sister cooked and we hung around the house. It was nice to relax.. This was Hagan's new toy courtesy of Grammy!
On Christmas Day we went to Ashley and Linda's house in Hattiesburg.. She is a fantastic cook and her house is always amazingly decorated! Our menu included: pork sliders, stuffed mushrooms, lobster macaroni, avacado and crab, shrimp cocktail, a bunch of other stuff I could never cook, and an assortment of desserts! I gained all the 6 pounds I lost from the virus right back.. Christmas was also my birthday, I am now 24 years old! And I can honestly say there is nothing missing in my life and I couldn't ask for anything more.. I am continually blessed by God's grace! Thank you Lord for all of my blessings & I know they come straight from you.. I am enjoying spending time with Hagan and just when I think I can't possibly love him any more, he gives me that big toothless grin and I do.. I look forward to 2011 and all the new nuggets it will bring!
