Your Great Name

Jesus, worthy is the Lamb
that was slain for us
Son of God and man
You are high and lifted up
And all the world will praise
Your great name

These words say so much... When I say this song brought me to tears this morning in church, I mean makeup streaming down my face. I am going to try to explain the best way I can what this song & sermon made me realize.

1. Jesus, worthy is the Lamb that was slain for us.. I encourage you to read and reread these words. As a soon to be mother, as I feel my little man kick and I feel the little life inside of me, I can only imagine what it was like for my God to watch his only Son get slained.. Because that is exactly what happened, he was beaten, spit at, mocked, nailed, & slained on the cross. And he did it for all of us, so that our sins may be forgiven and we will have everlasting life. How dare we live our lives as if this did not happen?
2. And all the world will praise Your great name.. If we all lived by this, just imagine what the world could be like. No more pain, suffering, murder, adultry, theft, prisons, the list could go on and on... All God wants from us is to be fruitful, to praise His great name & to tell others about him .. All that he has given us & all he wants in return is for us to praise him & be fruitful.. One day when he comes for his followers, ALL the world will praise HIS great name
3. The culprit of this blog was the sermon today at Pinelake, it was about being righteous.. Something that I struggle with daily. It was about being self-less and more geared toward God.. It was awesome & I encourage those who read my blog listen at pinelake.org. It has changed my life! I have a long way to go to be the person I want to be, but I start my journey today.

It is so easy to get caught up in this world, but we must not forget why we are here..
