February & March

Dude started coach pitch baseball.  He loved it!

We love the Dew Crew!
I got real crafty this year at Valentine's Day.

Don't expect it next year...
Approximately 5 hours after this picture was taken, Annie threw up.  She continued to throw up for the next 48 hours straight.  It was so awful and sad.  SO AWFUL AND SAD.
I couldn't make dude's party, but Cameron happily stepped in and sent me pictures.
I did get to help him make his Valentine Box though. He was so proud of it!
I was a host home for Collide this year.  It was a weekend I will never forget & I cannot tell you how much I was blessed by it!  I love each and every one of these precious souls.

Sissy was pumped to hunt eggs with her friends at school:)
Dude didn't have an Easter party, but he did have a fun field trip to the Children's Museum!
The kids celebrated Dr. Seuss day at school!

I obviously neglected my hair for a few months.  My roots turned into ombre and not on purpose...

I was too busy watching this documentary on my hero, Loretta Lynn.
Loretta Lynn: Still a Mountain Girl.
I cannot explain the magic of this documentary.  I've watched it 3 times and you should too.  I promise you will love LL and you will love Ernest Ray even more:)  I pinky promise.
That about sums up February & March!

January in August...

Here I am in August, blogging about January.  Where have all the bloggers gone?
I'll tell you where.  Instagram & Snapchat, I'm looking at you...  Your convenience has made us bloggers lazy.  But it is what it is, I digress.

Last year (2015) definitely had ups and downs.  I had an emergency appendectomy in January.  Hagan's WBC was way off and we thought the worst, but turned out it was mono.  We were homeless for 2 months & shacked up with family!  Then, we moved into the house, which was wonderful, but very stressful.  Both of my grandparents passed away and my mom broke her wrist on two separate occasions.  Oh and the oilfield pretty much crashed.

We were all ready to see 2016.
There is no person I would rather do life with than this handsome man right here.
He is everything to me.
These two hooligans are pretty special too!
We celebrated Coco turning FIVE!!!
Pickett spent the night with us!!!  We adore her...

Since they were in town, we decided to have a dental hygiene reunion & baby play date.
I mean, how cute are these kids?  Love each and every one of them.
Dude decided he wanted a brother.
When they all left, we were all like...
So sad that we don't get to see them more often.  Sometimes distance is the devil.
But we had a few other play dates that lifted our spirits.

And a "sucker cake" from Target will cure any blues that you might have.
Thanks for reading for those of you who are still hanging around.

Disney Day Three

The squad got wet on this day!
Isn't that just a gorgeous picture of Annie June's head?  Buddy was our protector, in case you didn't know.  He took it very seriously.
The park opened around 20 minutes early, so we walked right onto Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin.  Buddy was in HEAVEN!
After that, we went to see Woody & Buzz!
Next, we went to the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground.
I watched that movie a million times as a kid.  I also lost my kid a millions times in this playground. The kids loved it, us parents, not so much.
We used our FP for Buzz Lightyear and rode it again!  Then, the kids got their faces painted.  Sister was so proud.

She wanted to take a selfie to send to daddy, haha!
We went to roar with  Monsters Inc next!

Next, we saw Journey of the Little Mermaid and loved it!  When we walked out of the show, the sky was looking grim, so we ran and saw Doc McStuffins real quick.
We put our stroller covers and ponchos on & took cover in the rain!  A lot of people say that rain in the parks isn't bad because the crowd levels are lower.  No thank you, give me crowds over a soaking wet poncho and whining kids any day.  It only rained for a few hours though, thank goodness! Hollywood Studios is probably the best park to get rained on, because all the shows are either inside or covered!
We shared a small lunch because we had early dinner reservations at 'Ohana & then used our FP for the Frozen Sing-Along Celebration show.
Ya'll, this show was one of our favorites.  The storytellers were hilarious, just ask Annie.  The kids got the memo and sang along to every Frozen song.
Next, we caught the 2:00 Beauty & The Beast Show.  We are big Belle fans in our house, so we loved this show too!  We skipped naps because the kids were in great moods.
After the show, Ashley & Sarah FP Tower of Terror.  It's Sarah's favorite ride!

We said goodbye to Hollywood Studios & took a bus to the Polynesian Resort for our 3:50 dinner reservations at 'Ohana's.  Everyone RAVES about 'Ohana and we were so pumped that we snagged a last minute dinner reservation, which hardly every happens.  It's expensive, but it was good!
They have a separate kids menu that you can order from!  It stinks to pay 22 dollars for a grilled cheese, but all the kids ate big.  The bread pudding & meat selections are DIVINE.  We had such high expectations that I think it kind of ruined it for us.  Just being honest.  Rudy would love it, so if we ever go back to Disney we will probably eat here again.
We called it an early night and set our alarms for 5 AM to head home.
Thank you, Walt Disney, for your beautiful mind that created The Most Magical Place on earth.  You are a genius that has brought so much joy to families across the world.

Notes:  It rained, bring a rain jacket and ponchos to Disney.
Fastpasses were for Buzz Lightyear 9:20-10:20, Frozen Sing-Along 12:30 show, Tower of Terror 2:00-3:00.  We borrowed sister's cute outfit from our friend Becca.  We had a blast!
